Ambas canciones pertenecen a un álbum homenaje a Anthony Ríos, que saldrá al mercado en voz del salsero Alex Matos.26
“Fatalidad”, versión balada y “La mancha”, en salsa, forman parte de un trabajo de lujo que será publicado en marzo, mes en que se cumplen dos años de la partida física del cantautor dominicano más trascendente de las últimas décadas en la música romántica.
“Con este álbum hacemos realidad un sueño que venimos acariciando hace tiempo, mucho antes del doloroso fallecimiento de nuestro querido Anthony, un artistas irrepetible, y de quien recibimos valiosísimos consejos, tanto en lo personal como en lo artístico”, manifestó “El Salsero de Ahora”, como se conoce artísticamente a Matos.
De su lado, Amelfis Díaz, presidenta de AJD Management, destacó que para producir un álbum a la altura de las canciones de un artista de la trascendencia de Ríos, se agenció arreglistas y productores de probada calidad musical.
En ese sentido informó que “La mancha” contó con los arreglos y producción del maestro Joan Minaya y “Fatalidad”, de Samuel Wilfredo Diloné Castillo (Dj Sammy).
Las canciones se pueden escuchar en Spotify, Tidal, iTunes, Apple, TikTok, Shazam, Napster, Pandora, iHeartRadio, iMusica, Amazon Digital, y otras plataformas.
Alex Matos saltó a la estelaridad en la salsa al interpretar en 2011 un tema de Anthony Ríos, titulado “Si entendieras”, sustentado en lo musical por el arreglista Víctor Waill.
Cuando “Si entendieras” irrumpió vigorosa en el 2011, la salsa en voces dominicanas estaba desamparada de cantantes, temas y público. Hasta los premios Casandra en ese entonces habían dejado desierta la categoría de salsero del año.
